BOHS P404 Careers

Holding a BOHS P404 certificate will enable you to work in an Asbestos Analyst role.  This will usually consist of laboratory based work, analysing air samples and determining the appropriate action. 

P404 Analysts will be responsible for carrying out analysis of asbestos in air samples to determine the asbestos content.  They will also handle administration of samples in the lab, produce reports based on the sample analysis finding and issue certificates where applicable.  

P404 analysts will also carry out clearance testing of asbestos air samples.

Holders of P404 certificates will usually be expected to additional certificates, in particular P402 and P403.
